Walk-in Patients

Services available to walk-in patients

Brighton Station Health Centre also has Walk-in facilities available to registered and unregistered patients. The Walk-in service is open every day from 8am to 8pm and can see patients without an appointment for the treatment of minor injuries and illnesses.

The centre has been designed to help people with busy lifestyles who would like access to flexible and convenient health services.

The Walk-in service offers patients health care advice and treatment for general health problems and immediately necessary treatments.

We can treat:
• minor illnesses
• cuts and grazes
• minor scalds and burns
• strains and sprains
• bites and stings
• ear and throat infections
• emergency contraception
• minor skin infections / rashes
• minor eye conditions / infections
• stomach upsets
• coughs, colds and flu-like symptoms
• other common illness
• dressings service (only available to patients who do not have a GP in Brighton and Hove)

We are unable to help with:
• serious medical emergencies posing an immediate threat to a person’s health or life
• road traffic accident injury
• head injury - loss of consciousness
• overdose of drugs or accidental drinking of chemicals
• severe allergic reaction
• doctor’s certificates
• emergency care following an operation

In these instances, you will need to make an appointment with your own GP or in the case of an emergency you should attend your local accident and emergency department.
